Diverse tree species, appropriate soils and suitable genetic origins can help forests withstand heat, pests and disease.

In towns and villages, trees also provide cooling, support biodiversity, store carbon and help rainwater enter the ground.

From Ambition to Lasting Results

At Save the Planet, we welcome the ambition. Success should mean healthy trees growing into the future, alongside the protection of those already standing.

Source: Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity — official announcement.

Luxembourg Plans 1.7 Million Additional Trees by 2030 More shade, more wildlife habitats and greener neighbourhoods: Luxembourg has launched “Planzen fir d’Zukunft”, a national campaign targeting 1.7 million additional trees by 2030.
